The weather prediction was ominous - severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch along with SSW winds of 52 gusting to 63km/h. Not surprisingly, I was the sole person to arrive for riding the time trial, and even though the local weather conditions were considerably better than forecasted, and I would have ridden (WHR), I was certainly not going to encourage the trusty volunteers, Jim Glover and Nic Déry to stand in the rain while I rode. We canceled the event. Hopefully the weather will be good for next Tuesday - The "WTT Invitational" where OCA insured men are welcome to ride as long as they are on a team with an OCA insured woman. Please let celia@drmath.ca know if you have a team which would like to ride, the name of your team, your expected time, and whether you'd like to come to Grace O'Malley's afterwards for the WTT awards banquet. For your interest, here is a graph of how all of this year's WTT participants have done in this series' rather challenging weather!
